Giving people space to figure out their identity and values
This means really hearing what’s going on deep inside. What causes them to come alive? What causes pain? What’s going on below the surface of their outward behavior?
How do they see themselves? What is their identity? All figured out? Clueless? Is who they are based only on what others have told them or have they discovered their unique contribution to the world?
